Road/rail traffic noise assessment
Where a development site or any property is located near a major road or rail corridor, it is crucial to ensure that the required acoustical treatments are included in the design and construction of the building(s) for compliance purpose. Contrix Pty Ltd will provide professional advice to comply with the requirements from State Road/Rail Authority, Councils etc.
Aircraft Noise Assessment
Where a property or a development site is located within the designated zone, an aircraft noise assessment is required to determine how the habitable spaces might be affected by noise from aircraft take-offs and landings. The basis for design and assessment is to achieve indoor design noise levels in accordance with the relevant Australian Standard and required by authorities.
Mechanical plant noise assessment
Sound insulation must be considered in building services design as most items of mechanical plant or equipment generate noise and can adversely impact the occupants and/or neighbours. Common mechanical plant may include outdoor AC condensing units, refrigeration units, exhaust/extraction fans, pumps, substations etc.
